Across Oregon, there is a shortage of skilled Behavioral Health workers for mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Hundreds of these positions go unfilled every year, waiting for people like you. Qualified to Care is a statewide on-the-job training project in Oregon dedicated to increasing the skilled workforce in the Behavioral Health (BH) sector with support from community partnerships.
Qualified to Care will provide local help with sustainable resources, recruitment, and credentialing so training programs can begin to tackle our workforce crisis. As critical as this workforce issue is to ensure people in need receive the best care possible, it’s also a huge opportunity for caring, compassionate people who want a career that is more than a job.
